Just call me Oprah

I should clarify that I don’t like Oprah. Nor do I watch her show. She bothers me. So does Dr. Phil. So does her book club BUT I have heard tell of her favorite things episode and in honor of the day of my birth, I decided to have the FIRST (only?) ever giveaway here and give away some of my favorite things. (And write the longest sentence ever as well.)

I’m writing this from the frozen tundra of the North. North Alabama at any rate. See? This is our backyard:

Seriously folks. We have 6 to 7 inches where I live. Personally? I love it. Getting snowed in on my brrrday as one Facebook friend called it, is awesome beyond belief. I’m sitting here in a long sleeve fraternity party t-shirt from days at Auburn, blue and white polka dot fleece pants, pink striped socks and a crown. And? No one can judge me BECAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY and I can’t leave the house ANYWAYS. (Though I did wear this outside with black and white polka dot boots because Clifford HATES snow and won’t pee unless we ALL go outside with him.)

I was born in a blizzard and have been wreaking havoc ever since.

Even as a wee, sweet girl I had definite ideas about how I wanted to be photographed and this clearly wasn’t it. You’d cry too if your mom did that to your hair.

ANYSNOW-so back to the good stuff. The first ever annual (maybe) Amy Blam’s Birthday-Just Call Me Oprah Giveaway.

And, OF COURSE, I had to give you pair of Assets (sorry guys, I was footing the bill and Spanx are pricey but I do really like, and wear, Assets as well) and a Lilly Pulitzer Brushworthy Cosmetic Bag in What the Shell Patch.

All in all, it’s about $150 worth of stuff. Disclaimer: No one gave me anything. Except for the cosmetics bag, which Lilly Pulitzer gifted to me, I purchased all the other stuff and, sadly, was not bribed in any way.

I can’t imagine why no companies ever ask me to review things…

Here’s a close up of what is inside the Stila set. Stila and Smashbox are my fave and I bought myself one of these Stila kits as well.

I ADORE this set, it’s one of three variations and I snapped up the last two my Ulta had in this combo. I liked it best. It has 6 shadows, Kitten all over shimmer, Convertible color lip and cheek cream in Breathtaking and Lip Glaze in Guava.

Now for the big question: HOW DO I WIN? (I mean you, not me…because obviously I can’t win my own giveaway. Can I?)
